Year 3 have been very switched on by the class point system. We have been collecting class points for; lining up quietly, tidying the classroom and general good behaviour. Team work really does pay off we have already got 20 class points and have enjoyed the rewards. I brought in my own special pencil case today.
What do you think about the new system?
In assembly we talked about places we go to have some quiet time.
I like to sit inbetween the sofas with my teddy bears. I can think about things such as ‘why the sky is blue?’ or I can invent something!
Do you have a quiet place to yourself and what sorts of things do you like to think about or play there?
MFL day of course! I enjoyed constructing a cubist masterpiece, my original artwork included a guitar and a violin. our collage of the Spanish mainland will soon be on display for everyone to see. The Hall was full of ‘swishy’ skirts and bright outfits for the Spanish dancing.
What was your favourite part of the day?
The last few weeks in Year 3 have been fun filled. I have enjoyed writing a poem about the weather especially discovering words which rhyme. Can you think of any weather words and find another word to rhyme?
Perhaps your words could be on the topical theme of’ snowy weather’…….who knows you may end up writing a poem!
The girls have enjoyed an amazing day fundraising for Children in Need by wearing their pyjamas and onesies for the day!
We have raised over £350! Thank you for all your kind donations and we believe that wearing onesies for school is a great idea!
Year 3 have been learning all about the story of Joseph over the last 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it! We have been discussing the theme of jealousy.
Can you find out some interesting and amazing facts about penguins? We’re looking particularly at polar climates this week as a conclusion to our learning challenge on Weather.
How many species of penguin do you think there are?
Post replies here and write on the ‘Ideas Wall’ in Hesketh House.
